On the 20th of November we organize the meeting of the Polish mediators with Susan T. Wildau, internationally known mediator and a Founding Partner in CDR Associates.  If interested to participate, please contact us.

“The Organizational Conflict Management” workshop run by Susan T. Wildau, world renowed mediator and trainer from CDR Associates, is going to be held in Warsaw in November 2008. Susan comes to Poland as a guest of Markert Mediacje.  The workshop is organized by Warsaw School of Social Sciences and Humanities (SWPS).

We are currently organizing a new training program “Workplace Mediation. Managing Organizational Conflicts”. We have workshops on: the 23rd and 24th of October and 4th and 5th of December.

Markert Mediacje will be attending the International HR Congress and Expo in November 2008, which will be held at Warsaw Hilton Hotel. Markert Mediacje and its partner - CDR Associates will be giving two presentations. Susan T. Wildau as a key-note speaker will be discussing “Solving Costly Organizational Conflict” (for more information: http://hrcongress.nf.pl/Wyklad/502/?lang=pl) and Kinga Markert with Ms Kama Katarasinska-Pierzgalska, a representative of Doctor’s Trade Union will be presenting a case-study “Mediation as a tool for solving a crisis in an organization – employee strike in the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology.”. Last summer (July-September of 2008) the monthly magazine "Personel i Zarzadzanie" published a three-part article about mediation by Kinga Markert. They can be read in a section “Napisaliśmy” (Polish version only).

We run several “Presentation Skills” workshops for Polkomtel S.A. (Plus) during the summer of 2008. Kinga Markert has been running this program for Plus since 1996. Personel i Zarządzanie (Personnel and Management) monthly has become a partner of Markert Mediacje.
On 1 April 2008 we signed a cooperation agreement with the only Polish monthly which is fully devoted to human resources management. As part of the cooperation Markert Mediacje will contribute articles devoted to conflicts and HR management.

We were invited to participate in a prestigious public relations meeting.
The 9th Dialog PR event, an initiative of PRoto vortal, took place in  Polonia Palace Hotel in Warsaw on 17 March 2008. Crisis situations were the main theme of the meeting which was attended by over 100 persons from the PR branch, journalists and press spokespersons. Doctor Kama Katarasińska-Pierzgalska of the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology (IPiN) presented, together with Kinga Markert, a case study devoted to mediations in a dispute between the doctors and the board of  IPiN in Warsaw. Kinga Markert conducted a seminar on facilitation in the Social Psychology College. The seminar on 16 February 2008 was attended by the students of a post-graduate course in ”Negotiations and Mediation".

On the 8th of February 2008 Kinga Markert, the mediator from Markert Mediacje helped Trade Union of Psychologists and the Managing Director at the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology in Warsaw to come to mutually beneficial agreement. One week before psychologists from IPiN had asked Markert Mediacje to mediate their dispute with the Managing Director. The dispute concerned psychologists’ salaries and their status in the hospital. The Managing Director had accepted the mediator’s service.

In October 2007 the consultants from Markert Mediacje mediated in a dispute between the doctors on strike and the management of the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology in Warsaw. After several weeks of intensive negotiations: six mediation meetings lasting several hours each on 31 October 2007 the parties signed an agreement in the presence of mediators from Markert Mediacje. Kinga Markert and Alicja Krata, the mediators, and Agnieszka Polska, a restructuring consultant, were involved in the mediation process.

After a year of cooperation between Department of Human Resources Management, Trainers Team of Polkomtel SA (mobile phone operator “Plus”) and Kinga Markert on the 30th of October 2007 a presentation summarizing results of the projects took place. The project started back in August 2006 and consisted of trainings for trainers, a workshop on preparing training programs, workshop on team strategy, individual coaching for trainers and team manager.
