Mediation in Civil Cases

What is it?

Mediation in civil cases can be an alternative to a court hearing. Introduced according to the law of July 28th 2005 amending the law — the Code of civil procedure and some other laws, mediation applies to all civil cases (commercial, family, labor).

Civil mediation enables time and cost savings. What is most important, the decisions related to resolving a given situation are left to the parties’ discretion. There is a possibility of having an agreement reached as a result of mediation approved by a court, with an enforcement clause.
